IBFIM and IIiBF Partner to Train Sharia Experts in Islamic Finance Industry


KUALA LUMPUR: The Islamic Banking and Financial Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM), in collaboration with the International Islamic University Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), has launched a program to build a strong knowledge base on Sharia among learners and help develop Islamic finance. at the World level.

IBFIM said that the i-Contract series aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the practical aspects and operational requirements of Sharia contracts and serves as a guide for the implementation of Sharia standards.

“The learning approach adopted for the program signifies a paradigm shift in instilling an understanding of the theoretical and operational aspects in the respective Sharia contracts,” the institution said in a statement today.

The program was launched today by IIUM President Datuk Dr Mohd Daud Bakar in conjunction with IIUM Presidential Address on Islamic Finance delivered by Bursa Malaysia Bhd President Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar .

IIiBF Dean Professor Rusni Hassan said the collaborative program means synergy between industry and academia to ensure the continued development of the Islamic finance industry.

During this year’s presentation, he said he was addressing the issue of sustainability and value-based Islamic finance, which is a relevant and topical topic.

“In its journey towards global sustainable development, it is imperative that the financial system play its role in providing sustainable socio-economic prosperity. The IIiBF, through this program, supports the IIUM strategic program on sustainability, ”he added. – Bernama
